"Dancer at Rest” I have always loved the beauty and the tremendous energy in Flamenco dancing. The rhythms of the guitar's and counterpoint hands clapping mixed with the sound of the dancer's feet vigorously and powerfully yet nimbly pounding out her intricate rhythmic pattern's, creates an electricity that is so contagious it makes me want to hop up and join in. Even though my sculpture shows “the Dancer at Rest” she still retains the energy from the music as she anticipates getting back onto the floor and dancing again. |
